Through the Viewfinder - again
Bugger - outbid at £21.....I really don't think it's worth going any higher.
Through the Viewfinder - again
I really enjoyed messing around with my fake TTV images, and after yet another try with my beautiful Rolleicord, I have decided to persevere in making the images in the 'correct way'. I also decided that the Rolleicord isn't suitable for the job, firstly because it's really heavy and to juggle that with a contraption and another camera on top is a recipe for lens blur if ever there's been one and secondly, the front and side flaps are a pain and just get in the way. I know I could butcher it and remove the flaps, but that would be a great shame as the camera still works with film.
So I've gone back to the beginning and just bid on a Kodak Duaflex on good old Ebay, the Duaflex is the camera of choice for all the cool kids who seem to rattle their stunning TTV pics out at an alarming rate of knots. My bid's in at £15 which I think is reasonable and it's the highest bid by about £5 so far. I don't think I want to go much higher. If I don't get this one, there are two more with end dates of 6th April, but I'm inpatient and 'my one' ends in six hours, so I'll be standing on my head in yoga at the critical moment which is shame, but it will stop me spending too much!
Fingers crossed for me please!

Trunkt Showcases
I've just discovered that my work has been featured in three showcases on Trunkt. There's a lot on that site that I've not really explored, I find it a bit confusing. I think that there is some excellent work on there, but have spent very little time making the most of it.
Here are screen shots of the showcases with my work:

Lizzie's Kitchen
I've resurrected my Roadside Cafe project on a recent trip to Bristol with mum. It's something I'm finding really interesting although it does require rather a lot of Photoshopping which I'm not so keen on, but the images really do need more tweaking than most I take.
To see the whole set, click on Lizzie - I'm sure she won't mind.
I've got a trip to Dorset and Hampshire next week which could be three days, so fingers crossed for lots of new additions to the collection!

I think it's all okay now
I think that my Firefox/Etsy drama is resolved now. Firefox suddenly quit on me and when it asked, I cleared my private data - again.
When it restarted Etsy was there just as it should be, and worked perfectly all day.
Support didn't get back to me after the first very fast response, which I suspect was a stock reply for people who don't know how to upload pictures to the site. I wonder if they will ever reply again. I bet not.
Anyway, alls well that ends well and I'm happy again!

Re: Etsy Hates Me
I've just tried viewing Etsy in Safari and it works perfectly....
The plot thickens.
At least I can get on with my Etsy work tomorrow.
Etsy hates me
The pathetic picture you see above is how my Etsy shop looks to me at the moment.
I don't know if that's how it looks to the rest of the world or if it's just me.
I can't see any of my pictures in my Etsy shop or for that matter anywhere on Etsy which does not make me happy. I can see them from my PC at work but from my lovely iMac at home nothing. I also can't see my Etsy Mini here on my blog or anyone else's pictures from Etsy wherever they are.
I have my 'photo day' tomorrow which is my Wednesday day off which isn't going to be too handy if I can't see what I'm doing!
I've emailed the folks at the HQ and I got a very fast reply which was very impressive but they totally misunderstood my problem and thought that I was confused about uploading pictures which I cracked months ago! Perhaps they couldn't see the screenshot which I attached.
The saga continues.
On a nicer note, the views of my Blurb book have rocketed today. This morning the views for this week were a paltry six and now they are a whopping 260! The only reason I can think is from my PlugBoard plugging which I did this afternoon. Still only one sale though.

flashing!
Okay, I appreciate that I'm not going to win any awards for my animation skills just yet, but my first ever attempts at gif dodahs aren't too bad. They are the only two plugs on my rather bare looking plugboard. There's one for my book and one for my Etsy shop. It took me a while to work out the animation software (a free version of Jasc Animation Shop) but as I only wanted something very simple, it wasn't too bad. Not really. I'll have to have another go later and see if I can come up with something a little more polished. I've been adding my plugs to a few Plugboards I've come across and a few from this long list.

Jumping on the Plugboard bandwaggon.
The Plugboard thing sounds quite interesting and I like the multi-coloured flashiness of a full one....I've added a board on this blog (top left column) but so far, all I have in it is my sad looking test plug which I found on some kind persons blog. I have yet to work out how to make nice flashing ones for myself.
I'm too hungry to think about that now, so I'm off for some soup and a bit of a read and then I'll yet again put off doing any (real) work and mess around in and have a play.

First Sale
I sold a book!
My book on Burb has just made it's first sale, what a lovely surprise for me when I got home!
So I'll just plug it again in case the buyer came from here!

New image on Imagekind
I've just had my first FTP upload accepted and put in place at Imagekind, it's one of my Through the Viewfinder images, I think it's rather nice!
I think I'll add it to Etsy so it's there for my Showcase tomorrow.

Self promotion today
Being rather dispirited about my lack of sales I decided to jump in to an Etsy Showcase and have signed up for the main Storque showcase on this Wednesday (the 5th March), I've tweaked my prices to what I think is reasonable but am still concerned that they are too high for Etsy as most members seem to sell their lovely work for stupidly low prices.
This is my pricing:
Matted A4 prints $35 which is only £17.60
Unmatted A4 prints $30 - £15.00
Notecard set of four $10 - £5
A5 print unmatted - $5 - £2.50
Crane Museo 100% cotton rag cards - $5 - £2.50
Print Club - $100 - £50 (for one print a month for a year)
I've also filled in the Etsy Cafe interview which sounds like a good bit of self promotion.
I'm very intrigued to see if the Storque Showcase has any effect on my sales.
Peter's also designing me a new logo as I think the existing eyeshoot one is a little to harsh for my taste these days, so hopefully that will be done by the showcase day of Wednesday and I can have it in place and looking lovely.
