I photographed this gorgeous flower exactly as I found it on the cobbled floor at the Triada Monastery in Crete. I have no idea what type of flower it is and would be grateful if anyone can help me with a name.
I don't know the name of this flower-but love the shot. Nice composition and the visible difference between soft and very delicate flower and harsh, hard rocks.
It's a frangipani - the flowers are either pink or white and they smell gorgeous. I used to have a tree outside my bedroom window when I lived in Australia and the scent was intoxicating!

ReplyDeleteyou might also find it called a plumeria. Weird looking plants but gorgeous and fragrant flowers!
