Off on my holidays

I'm off to Crete today for a week's yoga so no posts for a while, but hopefully I'll come back with a nice batch of photos which will be popping up here very soon!

Here's an old 35mm photo from Santorini in 1992 to set the mood.

And they say romance is dead...

Shot from my (stationary) car, through a snowy side window at the romantic roundabout off the M60 in Stockport near a massive Tesco!

I've sorted out all my real work photos today which is a good thing.

We're out tonight to the very cosy Persia Grillhouse to celebrate a friend's 40th for the second time, last week it was a big meal out with many people, tonight it's the actual birthday as as far as I know, just us.

Peter's back from his few days in Holland working with my uncle and tomorrow I'm off to stay with my parents in mum's flat in Fuerteventura. I haven't packed a thing but I have purchased two new shirts and two new books. My flight's at 15.30 so I'll have plenty of time to get organized in the morning. I hate packing.

So that's all for a week, I'm off to the sun!

Icy, red and preparing for holiday!

It's been a long time since I've posted a Treasury screen shot, so to break the drought, I give you:

The Fuzzy Monkey has a shop full of the sweetest felted bowls embellished with buttons, stars and flowers and a cute range of knitted vases. I particularly like this little bowl:

We're off on our hols to Crete on Tuesday and the flurry of finding long forgotten summery clothes has begun- I've rediscovered a fab DKNY dress from years ago which has made me happy, it's long, black, sleeveless, fitted with a tight top and a flared bottom with a zip all the way up the front, it's really comfortable and looks pretty smart, it's a bit faded now, but I think it will be coming along for the trip.....

Off out into town to play with my new little 50mm lens which I bought last weekend and haven't really used yet - I hope the rain stays away.

I wish....

A great Treasury appearance for my little snail shell, all of the people featured are members of the Photographer's of Etsy Team - great stuff everyone!

Permanent Vacation
by Beth Peardon Prods

Mind you, I can't really complain about lack of holidays, I've got three lined up with the first starting tomorrow when we drive to London and spend the day with my father, supper out in the evening, overnight at dull utilitarian hotel and then a crack of dawn (7.00) coach from Victoria to the ferry at Dover then to Calais (fingers crossed for a smooth crossing please). Then it's a long coach drive to Reims in the heart of the Chamapagne where we will proceed to sniff, swirl, taste and sip the sparkly delight for the next two days. We go to a variety of Chamapagne houses from the big and glam (Tattinger) to the small and bijoux (Hattie). Can't wait - I've even got a new frock for the evenings!

Back in dull old Manchester....

We arrived home from Japan on Friday. We had an awsome time! The food was divine, the shops wonderful and the gardens were out of this world, not to mention the temples.

An all round wonderful experience.

I've been working my way through my photos for the last few days and have added a few new prints to my shop which I think are rather lovely and I hope that other folk do as well!

Here's a few random images:

Away to The East

I'm off to Japan for two weeks tomorrow! Tokyo-Hakone-Kyoto-Tokyo.

It's all very exciting and I'll be taking plenty of pictures.

My little shop will have a somewhat more Eastern flavour in the near future...
