One day, Two Etsy Front Pages, Seven Sales!

It's been a good few days in Etsy land!  Someone enquired about an enlarged print and I explained about my A3 and 20x30 inch prints which are sizes I've previously offered and then she asked if I could make a 40x60 inch print which is MASSIVE and the answer was 'yes'.  I'll be picking the print up from the lab on Monday or Tuesday and I can't wait to see how my Path Through Moss print will look.  I'm now offering this size in my shop - the listing is here should you be interested.

We had a very busy day yesterday making lunch (roast tomato soup with basil oil and olive croutons, salad Nicoise, cheese) which went on till about 5.30, then two sets of friends popped round and we didn't go out as planned as I wasn't in the mood to eat out, so we drank lots of wine, finished off the cheese and sourdough and I russled a few edibles togeterh from the fridge and we chatted and nibbled till midnight.

When in bed I checked my email and discovered that my work had been on two Etsy Front Pages that evening and that I had made six sales to one person - hurrah!  I'll be busy making prints on Monday.....

Here are the Front Pages:

Thanks to both clever curators for including my work in their lovely Treasuries!

Back from Holland and nice and busy!

We're back from our weekend in Holland, it was pretty relaxed with plenty of chatting, cooking, eating and drinking.  The general sloth was punctuated by a bracing walk on the beach on Sunday morning.  It had snowed overnight and there was a scenic sprinkling  - not too much, there was no trouble on the road to cause any grief, but it was very pretty and the first time I've ever been on a snowy beach.  The light was super soft and the sky seriously grey so I am hoping that I can do some magic with the pictures which I shot and that they don't just look flat and dull.  I'll be able to have a bash at them on Wednesday if I don't get sidetracked by marmelade making as I managed to find 3kg today and they will need some attention pretty soon.

I my absence this weekend I've sold two prints on A4 and one 20x30 print so am very happy!  The two small prints are all wrapped up and ready to post tomorrow and the big one has been emailed to the lab for them to do their thing.

Also while away my work was featured on a beautiful blog called Apple and Eve which is definitely worth a look (but not 'till you've finished here!).

Amanda's from Somerset and has some great cashmere in her shop - just what our cold necks need at the moment!

I'm off to drop Peter at the station in Manchester in a minute but have had time to check in with Etsy and be very pleased to find this cool and stylish Treasury of silvers and greys with my Cherry Blossom print. It seems odd to see a spring image with such sophisticated muted tones, but it was very well spotted by the curator as it fits in very well indeed.

Now that we have all the great tools for checking if your in a Treasury or not it means that I'm always aware of what's going on and yesterday for the first time in ages I wasn't featured in a single one, had no hearts and very few view and it felt really odd! Anyway it's good to be back on track with the third sale of the Digital Collage Sheet of Through the Viewfinder images and this little lovely:

I think I'll make a digital sheet for scrabble pendents later today - are they still popular? Must do some research when I get back from the gym.

Real work

I'm off to Newcastle any minute now to shoot a wedding tomorrow. It's a real job, with money and everything! The bride is a friend from my LiveJournal years, we've never met before and she asked me totally out of the blue. Very flattering.

I'm a little nervous, but the wedding is small, I think just a dozen or so people, but it's the first one where I've actually been properly comissioned. Onwards and upwards.

Oh, I made my first (very very tiny) sale on Red Bubble today. A card of The Ministry of Silly Walks.
